TESL Ottawa Webinar: Inclusive Pathways: Implementing UDL with CLB

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: This workshop will give you an understanding of what UDL is, why it is useful for students, and how to use it effectively in several instructional settings including CLB standards.
PRESENTER DETAILS: Christine Klatecki is this year’s president of TESL Ottawa and an instructor in two teacher training programs and teaches ESL. She has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Waterloo, a TESOL Certificate from Acadia University and a master's in applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. In addition, she has OCELT accreditation from TESL Ontario, as well as an online teaching certificate from the University of Calgary.
Chris started her career teaching young children, but since 2012 has been focused on teaching English to adults. She currently teaches courses in the TESL training programs at both Algonquin College, and online at Acadia University in Wolfville. In addition, she teaches English courses at College La Cite and with Achev in the Linc Home study program. Chris has extensive experience in using UDL (Universal Design for Learning) in a number of settings. In addition, she has run workshops and given presentations on using UDL with university students, EAP students and new immigrants.
