HISTORYTESL Ottawa had its start in 1974 when a steering committee was set up to run the organization until the first Annual General Meeting in March, 1976. An executive was elected at that time. TESL Ottawa is now one of the largest chapters in the province with over 400 members.

CHAPTERSTESL Ontario has twelve chapters throughout the province that host such events as workshops, conferences, swap shops, publishers' displays and expert panel discussions from September through June. In this way, the particular needs of a region can be addressed, but also shared with other TESL chapters.
TESL members participate in professional development through their local chapters as well as through attending the annual conference. |
